Our customer supplied the top rail for this job, which is very sentimental to her. It has been hiding away in the garage for quite some time now because her dearly beloved husband, who is sadly no longer with her, started on this project, and unfortunately he did not get round to completing it. He not only measured it to exact size (with the intention of using it for these steps), but he also very cleverly used old forging techniques to craft the scroll end design himself
